Coach P
Hall of Fame Athlete | International Coach | Recruiting Specialist
Princess L. Zabel — known to athletes and families as “Coach P” — is the co-founder of P22 College Sports Recruiting and brings over 15 years of experience in college coaching, recruiting, and athlete development across NCAA Division I and III programs.
Currently serving as the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Bates College, Coach P led the program to its first NESCAC playoff appearance in six seasons. Prior to Bates, she transformed the University of Saint Joseph (CT) program into a playoff contender, producing six All-Conference athletes and a Rookie of the Year.
Her college coaching career spans key recruiting and coaching roles at High Point University, Sacred Heart University, Bucknell, and Villanova — helping build nationally ranked recruiting classes and develop award-winning talent, including a BIG EAST Player of the Year.
Internationally, Coach P is the Head Coach of the Dominican Republic Women’s National Team, leading the program into the global spotlight and preparing the squad for the PALA Sixes Games.
She is also a former Assistant Athletic Director and club director, having co-founded Black Pirate Lacrosse, LLC — a youth development and recruiting platform that served athletes throughout Connecticut.
A former Division I student-athlete at Villanova University and Hall of Fame honoree (Danbury Class of 2024), Coach P understands the recruiting process from every angle — as a player, coach, recruiter, and mentor. At P22, she’s passionate about helping student-athletes and families navigate the recruiting journey with confidence, strategy, and purpose.

Amanda K. Zabel, "Coach Z" has over 15 years of coaching and recruiting experience across NCAA Division I and III programs, Coach Z brings a powerful blend of athletic leadership, academic insight, and professional operations expertise to the student-athletes and families served by P22.
As a dual-sport recruited athlete at the Division I level, Coach Z has developed high-impact athletes while building team cultures grounded in accountability, academic success, and personal growth. Her coaching experience includes impactful roles at the Sacred Heart University, University of Saint Joseph, and Central Connecticut State University—where she helped recruit and develop All-Conference goalies, a Rookie of the Year, and multiple conference Players of the Week.
Beyond the collegiate sidelines, Coach Z has been a dedicated leader in the club lacrosse world, coaching elite travel programs and youth development teams. Her extensive experience gives athletes a comprehensive, real-world perspective on the recruiting process at every level.
In addition to coaching, Coach Z has worked in state government and at Deloitte, gaining valuable experience in project management, compliance, and organizational strategy. She holds a Master’s degree from the University of New Haven, bringing academic and professional rigor to her approach as both a mentor and educator.
